TIFA is designed to group together leading banks and fund management companies based in Thailand to order to identify and consolidate best working practice in all areas and act as a focus for local professional development. A working committee is in the process of being set up and additional meetings will be held next month. The meeting was held with the Senior Panel under the leadership of Deputy Prime Minister, HE Somsak Thepsuthin, a prominent member of the current Thai administration headed by Prime Minister HE Srettha Thavisin, who previously served as Minister of Justice in the second cabinet of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha. I was accompanied by Dr Worawut Kongsilp and Settakorn Oranthanasit, my Renaissance International Partners colleagues. This is a most exciting development which will serve to further strengthen the position of Thailand as a leading international financial hub.
